Farmer Direct Foods Celebrates Facility Expansion

Farmer Direct Foods marked a significant milestone on March 7th, 2024, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its groundbreaking facility expansion. The celebration, which took place after the initial groundbreaking on May 10th, 2023, commemorates a $2 million investment aimed at revolutionizing the production of premium whole grain flours.

At the heart of this upgrade lies a newly constructed warehouse, equipped with a state-of-the-art bulk packing machine and a second milling station. These cutting-edge additions underscore Farmer Direct Foods’ unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled quality and consistency to its valued customers.

Despite the rainy weather, the ceremony drew an enthusiastic crowd, including esteemed members of the Farmer Direct grower network, several of whom were original members of the White Wheat Growers Association. Their presence serves as a testament to the strong partnership between Farmer Direct Foods and its dedicated growers, who share a passion for sustainable and regenerative farming practices.

Among the attendees were representatives from King Arthur Baking Company and Farm To Market Bread Company, two of Farmer Direct Foods’ valued customers. King Arthur Baking Company was honored with the Regenerative Customer of the Year award, while Farm To Market Bread Company received the New Customer of the Year award, recognizing their commitment to sourcing high-quality, locally grown ingredients.

The Salina Chamber of Commerce also joined in the celebration, underlining the local community’s support for Farmer Direct Foods and its positive impact on the region.

Harbin Construction, the contractor who partnered with Farmer Direct Foods, was recognized for their invaluable contribution to the successful completion of the project, ensuring that the expansion met the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
